leviticus
leviticus is pretty boring… a pretty hard book to get through. i have one of those bibles that has you reading through tht bible everyday eventually getting through the whole thing… i’ve had it for a couple years and each time everyday completely totally realates to my life.. in a ver personal way. it pretty much amazes me but through leviticus… one would think there isn’t a whole lot to relate to, lots of rules, lots of sacrifices… lots of penalties.. chapters and chapters of hypothetical situations and some really pretty harsh punishments that left me thinking “WHAT??” but thats God, His ways are higher than mine, and after all of those horrible things theres always a “but” and God remembers His convenant and assures the people He won’t ever forget it. through reading it this time… just getting through it… God has taught me a lot about Himself. a lot about discipline, being willing to do it even if each word isn’t putting a beautiful picture in my head… even that is part of our story. it makes the new testament make more sense. it explains why Jesus had to die.. why it was so difficult for the people to believe Him, how RADICAL of a change He was presenting to these peoples lives. they’re whole lives were lived by regulations, like some map they had to follow every day… a list. haha! a list of life! but that was it, and Jesus conquered it all and declared them free… no longer slaves to the law, and reading leviticus… they were definately slaves to some major laws!!! and Jesus replaced that. thats huge!!! and had i not gone through pages and pages and pages of those laws.. i wouldn’t have realized that, and now its painting pretty pictures in my head
God can use the most seemingly mundane things to trigger an explosio in our hearts.
its pretty nice.. numbers starts today! i bet thatll be amazing too!!!

Very cool Lindsay. The law shows us in so many ways that grace is amazing.
